Sustainable development in Africa can be largely achieved if smallholder farmers and local value chains are supported fully.

Gender mainstreaming and youth involvement project targeting partners as part of the long-term goals of promoting gender equity in the agricultural value chain

Exitea promotes and creates sustainable smallholder tea enterprises for rural households by engaging with male tea farmers to recognize and support economic empowerment of women and youth through:

• Allocation of tea bushes to women and youth enabling them to own and manage the sections, register as cooperative members and earn independent incomes
• Training on organization development, gender analysis and mainstreaming
• Support women and youth access markets for Exitea locally and internationally

1. Boil 2 cup[s of water

3. Simmer for 3-4 minutes
